Recommended for families, birthdays and christenings

Discover a modern way to explore history – an interactive tour where the beauty of nature, the history of the Manor, and technology blend into an unforgettable adventure.

The tour begins with a walk through the 17.5-hectare Ilzenberg Manor Park, where a guide introduces you to the unique history of the owners of the Manor, the park, and the Palace, as well as the peculiarities of their way of life from the Middle Ages to the present day. In the park, you will visit the restored buildings of the Manor complex – the granary, smokehouse, bathhouse, office, and cannon court – and learn about their purpose and history.

The tour continues along the paths of the English-style park, where contemporary sculptures are hidden among the greenery: “The Lily,” “The Sundial,” “The Tree of Angels,” and others – original, creative and intriguing ideas.

After the introductory tour, participants receive a map of the Manor Park and a list of tasks. Each task is linked to a specific QR code – by scanning it, the participant learns the task. Answers can be found on information stands or recalled from the guide’s stories. If the answer is correct, it is entered into the crossword puzzle boxes, where the letters of the keyword are hidden as Roman numerals.

After completing all the tasks, participants discover the keywords, rush to the agreed location and open the mysterious “treasure chest”. The guide checks the answers, and the first to complete the task correctly get a prize!

The tour ends with a memorable manorial surprise – a shot from Swedish cannon!

Educational tour “Harmony Between Human and Nature in Ilzenberg Manor Park”

Recommended for families, birthdays and christenings

Have you ever seen “living water”? Have you seen a birdhouse with a door? Or perhaps a bird hotel? If so, we invite you to join an educational tour, where you will be immersed in exploring the nature of Ilzenberg Manor Park from the very first moments. You will learn about the interconnections between living and non-living nature, how to identify the plants and animals living in the Park, and how to navigate the surroundings using traditional tools – a paper map and natural landmarks.

The tour consists of 4 parts:

Part One: You will learn about the trees growing in the Manor, measure their height, discover how a tree functions – how it defends itself against pests and “breathes” – and play a game in which you will take on the roles of different parts of a tree.

Part Two: Together with the guide, you will take water samples from the pond and the lake, analyse their differences, look for life in the water – molluscs, insects, plants – and discuss what they reveal about water quality.

Part Three: Participants travel to a small island, where they will split into groups to search for hidden “treasures”.

Final part: knowledge is summarized through the quiz “Who Lives in the Park?” – you will need to identify which organisms live in Lithuania and the Ilzenberg Manor area, and which ones live in distant countries. A successful quiz ends with a gift from the Manor – a souvenir.
